Julie K Matthews is an accomplished author with a passion for storytelling. Her works span various genres, captivating readers and sparking imaginations.
Her background includes studies at Weber State College in English with a Creative Writing/Technical Writing focus and at Rio Salado Community College with a focus in Business Communications. She spent 17 years of her career as a technical writer for a city government and in the construction industry.
She is enraptured and joyful when playing keyboard with 60s-70ss rock band, playing the organ at church, or performing as a lobby pianist on Temple Square. She recently fell in love with kayaking (on flat waters). Her children and grandchildren make her so happy along with her sweet maltipoo puppy, Skipper, who is her walking and biking partner.
Julie's adventurous husband takes her flying in his plane, boating on the ocean (as long as she can see land), and even scuba diving. Wherever they visit, she finds the setting for a story. After her career in technical writing, she delights in creative writing and the soaring of her heart when a character falls in love or outsmarts a villain. She has daydreamed love stories ever since she discovered boys were worth dreaming about.
